Questions about the Check
Who is it for?+
Owner-managers, managing directors, operations directors and general managers who have an employee issue, a grievance, a disciplinary, absence, performance, redundancy or an exit, and aren't sure how serious it is or what to do next.
What will I get at the end?+
A personalised on-screen summary: what you're dealing with, where you stand on risk, the three things to get right now, what to avoid, and a recommended next step. Plus the Starter guide for your exact situation, free, with a letter you can send.
When should I use it?+
As early as you can. The sooner you understand a situation, the more options you have and the cheaper it is to put right.
The law is changing · about 4 months away
One date worth knowing about
From 1 January 2027, an employee can claim unfair dismissal after six months, not two years. If the person you are dealing with has been with you under two years, the room you have to move is about to get a lot smaller.
The Check takes three minutes and tells you where you stand.
